Trips for all budgets and objectives
The Wight Sapphire is available for individual, group, or private charter. Trips can depart from either Yarmouth Harbour, on the Isle of Wight, or Lymington Harbour. Please specify your preferred departure point when you contact us.
Deep Sea Trips
Travel up to 20 miles offshore for full day trip where depending on the season we could catch, cod, bass, bream, pollock, skate. Deep Sea trips are available all year round.

If you only have an afternoon to spare, then take a mackerel trip into inshore waters and catch lots of these popular and tasty fish. A great day out for the family!

Wrecking trips can take up to 12 or 14 hours, and we travel up to 35 miles offshore. In addition to all the Deep Sea species such as cod and bass, there's a good chance of catching bigger specimens plus tope and conger eels.

For the serious fisherman. Shark trips require a lot of preparation, and sometimes a whole day may pass without a bite. But if you get a bite, buckle up and prepare for a fight. The most likely species is Porbeagle, up to 200kg.

Deposits and Payment
Please pay by cheque or cash. Once a deposit is recieved your place on board is confirmed, and the balance must be paid on the day of the trip.
Cancellation
If we cancel, or you cancel giving at least 24 hours notice, your full deposit will be refunded. If you cancel within 24 hours of the trip, your deposit is forfeit.
The Weather
The trip will be cancelled if the weather presents a safety risk. Please call us the evening before the trip to confirm that the trip is going ahead.
What to Bring
All safety gear is provided. You should wear appropriate clothing and a bring waterproof overclothes and a packed lunch. Also, bring your own bait and tackle, or we can direct you to suppliers where you can buy or rent what you need.
Medical Conditions
It is essential that you declare any medical conditions or disabilities that you have. This information will be kept confidential, but is vital to allow us to ensure the safety of the trip.
Non-Fishing Trips
In addition to fishing trips, the Wight Sapphire is available for a variety of other purposes, including ornithology and photography of sailing events. We aim to be flexible, and can tailor services to your requirements, so please drop us a line.
