About the Wight Sapphire
The Wight Sapphire was built in Cornwall by Offshore 105 - a highly regarded manufacturer of sturdy commercial fishing boats. She comfortably accommodates 8 passengers, with space for their gear and their catches. She has been fishing the waters around the Isle of Wight since XXXX, and in her best day brought home 23 Cod, 4 Ling, and a Conger Eel.
She has all the standard safety gear on board, including life rings, lifejackets and flares, and has Cat.2 insurance to carry 8 passengers on journeys of up to 60 miles. She is also well equipped with communications equipment, with a VHF radio
She is skippered by Bob Gawn, a keen fisherman with over 30 years experience. He fishes boat and shore, and regularly enters competitions such as the Westport Skate Festival in Ireland, where he caught this monster.
