The coastal waters around the Isle of Wight offer some of the best fishing in the British Isles, and on top of the fishing, there are great sights like the Needles to enjoy.
Charters to Suit All Needs
The Wight Sapphire can take up to 8 passengers. You can charter the whole boat (for a family trip, for example), or simply book a place on one of our many public trips.
All Species, All Year Round
We rarely come back empty handed, and will probably bring back cod, bream, mackerel, pollack, or bass. We often catch more exotic species, including conger eels, tope and skate.
About the Wight Sapphire
The Wight Sapphire is an Offshore 105 fishing and is powered by a Daewoo 360hp engine. She has space for 8 passengers, and can easily travel 100 miles on a full tank of fuel. She has always been an Island boat, and has fished all over the Solent and surrounding coastline, and over wrecks in the Channel. She She is equipped with satellite navigation and radar, plus VHF radio and all the standard safety equipment, and is fully licensed by MCA Cat 2 for 60 mile trips. "I've had the Wight Sapphire for 20 years, and have been fishing the waters around the Isle of Wight and further afield for more than 40 years. In that time I've caught everything from Porbeagle Sharks to 200lb Skate and big Conger eels, and have faced every kind of weather and situation. I am very safety conscious and my first priority is to ensure everyone on board has a safe and enjoyable trip, so I don't take any chances with the weather.
